News from the King’s Oak Academy Council
Governance of King’s Oak Academy will be undertaken by the Cabot Board and the King’s Oak Academy Council. This new Academy Council will consist of a mix of sponsor appointees, our principal Ian Frost, plus elected staff and parent representatives. Diane Owen and John Sheppard, who were the Kingsfield School’s chair and vice chair respectively, are joining the new council as two of the sponsor appointments and there will therefore be some continuity between the “old” and the “new”.
With the launch of King’s Oak Academy we are sure that by working together – parents, staff, Academy Council members and students – we can achieve success on our journey to “Outstanding!”
