CLF Sixth Form

A CLF Post 16 Open Evening is taking place on Wednesday 12 October 2011 at John Cabot Academy, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

Being part of the Cabot Learning Federation means that we are able to offer a much broader learning experience across the school.  In addition to this, teaching staff work very closely together across all the academies in the CLF, and there is an excellent culture of sharing good practice.  We view education as a lifelong process.  When students join us in Year 7 it is our aim to provide them all with the courses, teaching and learning experiences that will motivate and inspire them to stay until the end of Year 13.

King’s Oak Academy has a popular and well established sixth form with considerable experience teaching a range of post 16 courses and an excellent track record of success.  Being part of the Federation sixth form is an exciting experience and a student whose home centre in King’s Oak may be taking an A Level at John Cabot or at one of the other academies.  We are at the forefront of delivering exciting new courses as well as traditional A Levels.

Our state of the art Post 16 Centre includes a suite of 40 computer workstations, a wireless network and video-conferencing facilities.  We also run a range of exciting additional activities including residential courses, visits and conferences.

Many of our students choose to continue their studies into the sixth form.  A high proportion of our students move onto higher education at university.
